Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments

Our Diploma in Beauty Therapy Massage qualification is intended for anyone looking to develop their skills in massage, customer service, health and safety and client care and communication to advance their career as a beauty therapist or massage therapist. This qualification can lead to careers in a range of sectors, including self-employment, spas and salons and the retail industry.

At a glance

The qualification is delivered in face-to-face classes with a mixture of theory and practical elements. There will be expert demonstrations of practical skills which learners will then practise in class with tutors on hand to guide and support. Further practise and study will be required at home to perfect skills and techniques. Learners will be expected to attend a minimum of one session each week in the centre, but individual timetables will be agreed
with your tutor at induction.

Units

There are 7 units in this qualification:

  • Provide body massage treatments
  • Provide Indian head massage
  • Carry out massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
  • Provide stone therapy treatments
  • Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities
  • Provide single eyelash extension treatments
These units will be assessed through a mixture of practical assessments, written assignments and online exams. Learners will be expected to build a portfolio of evidence throughout their programme, including consultation forms and treatment plans from services provided.
 

In this qualification, you will learn the following massage techniques and topics:

  • Body massage treatments (including full body massage, back massage and Swedish
    massage)
  • Hot stone massage (Indian full body, back and face)
  • Indian head massage
  • Semi-permanent eyelash extensions
  • Anatomy and physiology

Progression Routes
