Skills for Working in Construction and Building Industry
If you are looking to work in the construction industry, or require a CITB Operatives card (green card) to access work on a construction site, this course will help you to prepare for the exams.
We offer the Level 1 Award, Extended Award or Certificate in Skills for Working in Construction and Building Industries. In addition, you can achieve the L1 Award in Health and Safety in Construction which is now a mandatory requirement before you can apply for the CITB Operatives card.

Each level lasts approximately 80-130 guided learning hours.
We offer funded and co-funded courses (funding is subject to meeting the eligibility criteria)

Average programmes last around 80-130 guided learning hours. All learning is carried out online with additional tutor support and workshops where necessary.
Each unit has a short, multiple choice assessment which can be completed in the centre. In some instances, we may also be able to fund your CITB Health, Safety and Environment test for Operatives subject to eligibility criteria – speak to our centre staff for more information.

Additionally, learners who successfully complete the units above will be offered the opportunity to sit the L1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment assessment which is now a mandatory requirement in order to apply for a CITB CSCS card. This will be offered at no additional cost.
